Willie Creek Pearls hosts FACET Forum

Sally Willie Creek

FACET’s first Forum for 2018 was held at Willie Creek Pearls at Elizabeth Quay on 28 February, with one lucky FACET member taking home the door prize of a beautiful Willie Creek Pearl pendant necklace.

FACET members were treated to a live pearl harvest, where Sally Hollins Chief Executive Officer, explained how the pearls are farmed and cared for at the Willie Creek Pearl farm located 38kms out of Broome, and how the Kimberley environment plays an important role in producing these stunning pearls.

This award-winning tourism business offers a complete tourism experience, from sharing the history of pearling in Broome through to the modern day pearling farm and jewellery manufacturing. The Willie Creek team are passionate about delivering a unique and memorable tourism, retail and hospitality experience through their integrated products and services, which include the pearl farm, pearling museum, retail outlets, restaurants where their pearl meat features on the menu, and their half day Discover Broome coach tour.

The story of Willie Creek Pearls is a fascinating one. Owned and operated by the Banfield family, their desire to offer a warm welcome and an exceptional experience to their visitors is evident in the fact that Willie Creek Pearls is the most awarded tourism business in Western Australia.

FACET would like to thank Sally Hollins and her team at Willie Creek Pearls, Elizabeth Quay for hosting our Forum and we look forward to continuing to work with Willie Creek into the future.
