-To provide community forums for the discussion of issues regarding cultural and eco-tourism and appropriate models of activity for Western Australians
-To encourage the industry to provide for the community, and authentic cultural and eco tourism experience and to foster understanding and appreciation of that experience through appropriate interpretation.
-To advocate and influence government, industry and the public to achieve professional well managed, ethical conduct in the industry
-To assist in the development of professional information sharing and networking between interested parties within the tourism industry
Through our annual conferences, which attract international and national keynote speakers, regular meetings and newsletters, FACET provides members and the community with a forum to promote informed debate about cultural and eco-tourism issues
in Western Australia.

We provide advice to policy making and review organisations on the development of cultural and eco-tourism strategies and other related matters.
Our website allows members to log-in and participate in an on-line forum to network with other FACET members and invited guests, specialising in sustainable tourism. The members' only section of the website will also contain archival copies of newsletters and conference proceedings, along with members' contact details.
