FACET is a Western Australian based network and information resource for people with an interest in cultural, nature based and eco-tourism.

The Association was conceived in 1991, when it became apparent that many exciting opportunities and developments were taking place in the field of cultural and eco-tourism, in isolation of each other.

A core group of people then came together to establish FACET to advise on and promote sustainable tourism to government and industry involved in this new growth area.

Our membership is diverse and is drawn from the tourism sector, academe, government agencies, cultural, ecological and scientific institutions, the general public; i.e. anyone with an interest in the field.

Testimonial

"Having recently retired, I've been thinking back over the numerous professional and trade organisations I've been involved with over the years.

"FACET stands out as the one with the best value year after year, providing a consistently fascinating range of stimulating, thought provoking events, always well organised and welcoming. Even when the topic has not been central to my area of interest, I've made an effort to attend, because there are typically insights and ideas that arouse my curiosity and challenge the way I think about things.

"Thank you, it has been a pleasure to be an active member of FACET. Please pass on my thanks to current and past committee members for their sterling efforts."
