Recipe for Success - Creating Unforgettable Experiences!
Venue: Fremantle Prison
Date: Wednesday, 2 November 2011, 9.00am-4.45pm

FACET and the Heritage Council of Western Australia are excited to announce Western Australia's only one day workshop with two of the UK's leading experience development consultants. Susan Cross and Peter Phillipson will be in Perth for the first joint national Museums Australia and Interpretation Australia Conference and have agreed to present a special pre-conference workshop for us.

This one off, not to be missed workshop is vital for anyone involved in developing or delivering visitor experiences and anyone who wants to make sure that their hard won visitors return again and again and tell all their friends how great their experience was.
Susan and Peter are the driving forces behind TellTale the leading UK based experience development consultancy. They have over 20 years experience working on and learning about tourism sites and their visitors. In this one-day workshop they will share the recipe for creating great experiences.
Natural and cultural heritage attractions have two great selling points - their stories and their experiences. In this workshop they will focus on the experiences (although it will help if participants bring along their site's key stories too!)

The morning will consider the vital ingredients in creating satisfying and memorable visitor experiences and will include a guided tour of the World Heritage listed Fremantle Prison to see this in practice.
The afternoon will explore in more detail the sorts of experiences different types of visitors are looking for. The workshop will conclude by drawing everything together by considering how to map a visitor journey, from a great beginning to a happy ending.
Workshop Cost: $100 FACET Members $130 Non-members
$ 80 FACET Students /unwaged $110 Non-member students/unwaged
Workshop cost includes a guided tour of the prison, workshop notes, morning and afternoon tea and lunch.
