According to Tourism WA’s Taste 2020 Strategy, culinary tourism is Western Australia’s international point of difference.
The theme of FACET’s 2018 Conference was ‘Fresh Thinking – Culinary Tourism’and was held in Busselton from 22-23 November. The program explored the opportunities to grow culinary tourism in Western Australia, showcasing what is trending in food & wine in Australia and Internationally. The 2-day event comprised a full day of presentations, a half day practical workshop, VIP Sunset Tour of the Busselton Jetty & Underwater Observatory and two networking dinners.
Testimonial: “Food Tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors in global tourism marketing. In WA we have a wider range of produce grown than in any other State in the world. This is an ideal tourism opportunity
The FACET conference brought together a group of inspiring presenters that showed growers, producers and tourism operators how they could work together to develop a unique marketing opportunity in WA.
This was one of the best, practical conferences I have attended in some time and the excellent interaction of group members allowed for the discussion to present new ideas. At Chestnut Brae we ahve already developed a new network of partners and ides as a result of the conference and workshop”.
Join us on this exciting culinary journey.
