Caroline joined the FACET Executive Committee (Board) at the AGM on 25 October 2023. She is the Economic Development Advisor at the City of Wanneroo, where she has worked for more than 15 years.

During this time Caroline has managed a number of complex projects as part of the implementation of the City’s Tourism Plan. She was instrumental in creating the City’s Discover Wanneroo tourism brand, creation of a dedicated visitor website, and more recently establishing and managing the Discover Wanneroo social media channels.

Caroline is a board member of the Australian Geoparks Network and a judge for the WA Tourism Awards. She is also an advisor to the Explore Yanchep Two Rocks Network group (Local Tourism Organisation).

Caroline Is a passionate advocate for local tourism and hospitality businesses and has played a significant role in assisting many through complex regulatory processes, as well as contributing to the City’s highly regarded Small Business Friendly Approvals Program outcomes.

Caroline boasts a diverse entrepreneurial background, having operated various small businesses in Perth, encompassing retail, luxury limousine transport, and hospitality. This firsthand experience has provided her with an understanding of the challenges faced by busy businesses often operating on limited budgets, necessitating a mastery of a wide array of competencies. It has also honed her tenacity, pragmatism, and collaboration skills.

Her enduring passion for travel, an eye for graphic design, and a commitment to staying abreast of technology platforms and trends all attest to Caroline’s dynamic interests and aptitudes. She looks forward to channelling her enthusiasm and wealth of experience into FACET, where she hopes to make a meaningful contribution to discussions, activities, and events.
